"Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future." - John F. Kennedy
Welcome
Rites of Passage Girls Camp had its first annual event in summer of 2011, with the mission to provide critical intervention to historically at-risk adolescent girls ranging from 13 - 17 years of age. This is a 501(c)3 grassroots mentoring program designed to provide support for our education system by decreasing the staggering high rate of high school drop-outs in under-served communities. The program comes in the form of an intense between five to seven day camp long. We also initiate a peer support network and provide mentoring and support to participants for one year after last day of camp. This program was launched in South Florida, and as of 2015 we are expanding to California. As a grassroots organization, we partner with sponsors, other nonprofit organizations, churches and concerned citizens in the community that pursue a common goal to serve our children. It does take a village to raise a child!
